RSL Queensland provides practical support, assistance, advice and camaraderie to current and former Australian Defence Force members and their families across Queensland and nationally.
Our mission is to provide care, commemoration and camaraderie to enable veterans and their families to live with dignity and respect. It's our guiding light and underpins all that we do.

Commemoration
Enabling and supporting the commemoration of the service and sacrifices of veterans.
12 commemorative days marked to honour veterans, including ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day
1,114 Sub Branch commemorative services and events held across Queensland to connect communities
$1m in commemorative merchandise funding made available, supporting Sub Branch fundraising for local veteran initiatives
24,000 students involved in the Postcards of Honour initiative, facilitated by Sub Branches across 228 schools
21,660 students involved in the Draw to Remember initiative, facilitated by Sub Branches across 214 schools
Camaraderie
Providing avenues for veterans to rekindle their bonds of service and mateship.
633,464 volunteering hours contributed by members to support veterans and their families
830 veterans and family members participated in RSL Peer-Led Programs to strengthen wellbeing through shared experience
378 people participated in 12 RSL Rec Connect events to boost connection through meaningful activities
$1m in grants allocated to Sub Branches for capital works projects

Reaching Australia’s veteran population
RSL Queensland supports and, in some instances, provides direct funding to other states to deliver services in support of veterans and their families.
Gallipoli Medical Research: Since 2012, RSL Queensland has invested more than $20 million in veteran-centric research to inform Federal Government, Defence and veteran organisations with credible data and insights.
Mates4Mates: Mates4Mates is proudly part of RSL Queensland and supports veterans and their families to find the support they need to reconnect and recover. More than $56 million has been invested to date, with a further $70 million committed through the 2030 Strategy.
Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centres: RSL Queensland has provided funds towards these Centres to support veterans and families across Queensland, the Northern Territory and Tasmania.
RSL Be:Well and Go Beyond: These online learning resources offer research-backed health and wellbeing information and tools to support veterans during and after Defence. Available to all Australian veterans, these free programs are accessible anywhere, any time.
Soldier Recovery Centre: Across three Queensland Defence bases, RSL Queensland continues to invest in active, on-base programs that support Defence members transitioning to civilian life in Queensland or interstate.
RSL Queensland also invests heavily in national programs and services to help veterans and their families across Australia.
